Oman's Sultan will be on State Visit to India from 16th December 2023
Muscat, 10 Dec - In a significant diplomatic development, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik is set to undertake two state visits to the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of India, commencing on Wednesday, 13 December 2023. The announcement was made by the Diwan of the Royal Court in an official statement.
The forthcoming visits underscore the robust and advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and these two friendly nations, responding to formal invitations extended to Sultan Haitham.
The agenda for the visits encompasses discussions on various areas of cooperation between Oman and both countries, aiming to enhance relations across diverse spheres. The overarching goal is to further mutual interests and foster prosperity for the people of Oman, Singapore, and India.
Sultan Haitham will be accompanied by a distinguished delegation comprising key figures, including Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, among others.
